Out of curiosity why are you boycotting Au Bon Repos?
I have been searching extensively for a mattress. It's been damn hard work. Most shops seem to be quite cheap and poor quality or outrageously expensive, not much change out of 12k or even more. Vi-spring which is a very good make is double the price in Belgium than it is in the UK! The only shop I thought had a decent selection of mattresses that I know has a shop in Brussels is http://www.literieprestige.be/site/index.php.
The stonemanor has a good selection of UK mattresses (or did- I have not looked recently)

We are bed shopping in advance of a house move and have been strongly recommended ‘Sleepy’ in Dilbeek.
Our present mattress came from a shop called Deniwol, on the road between Merchtem and Wolvertem just North of the city. It’s an excellent shop, super quality (they manufacture their own stock) but it’s a small shop and you asked for a large selection.
You could try Libau, chee de Wavre - 5 minutes walking distance from Place Jourdan. I bought 3 beds and mattresses there.
I bought my bed from http://www.vastiau-godeau.be/index.php?language=en
in Alsembourg - well worth a visit I think.
I got the mattress there at the time too but have since replaced from one from http://www.leroidumatelas.be/?gclid=CO2I9afiibwCFURc3godOE0AYA - a chain shop I know but big selection and I've not had a better mattress.
Of course, here it is more a question of which sommier you choose than the mattress which was a bit weird when I arrived.
