Based in Belgium, Dutch employer/contract: What to expect

Question

Hi all

I've been recruited by a Dutch company. If they hire me, I will work from Belgian home office but be full time employee of Dutch company.

Does anyone have ANY idea what this means in terms of compensaton, tax, health insurance, etc?

I have always heard that Dutch salaries are lower than Belgian. But I would pay Belgian income tax, right?

If they make an offer, I want to be able to translate it into the netto I can expect!

Thanks so much,
To Dutch or Not To Dutch

Hi ,

Since you will be working from BE home office i assume your place of principal residence will be Belgium. You will/should definitely be paying BE taxes unless you are from NL and are travelling to BE and the 180 day tax ruling applies to you , yull need to check. If you are on a dutch salary and are working in BE then it is much better since NL is more pricy (house, transport wise). You could also check the xpats regime rule in BE to get a tax reduction . It saves you a lot of money.
