Plain Flour is Farine de Ble
Selfraising is Farine De Gateaux

It all depends on what you are making. What recipe are you wanting to do?

You will find self-raising flour in Carrefour labelled as farine fermentante.

"Plain flour is NOT self raising flour (farine fermentante)!"
I realise that but was providing relevant information after ANON's remark that self-raising is "farine de gateaux" which might be what the dictionary says but isn't how it is labelled in at least Carrefour.

OK Sorry, I was just trying to be helpful.

I buy self raising flour as this in my local shop:
https://www.francine.com/les-bons-produits/les-farines/farine-pour-gatea...

But as the OP is looking for plain flour, they should just look for "Farine de Ble"
