Babysitters?

Question

Hi! We will move to Brussels (very probably in Uccle) in may and i would like to find a french speaking babysitter for my dauther (she'll be one year old by then). If possible i would prefer a small place with just a few kids over a "crêche", but i know its not easy to find. We are still in Canada, so its even harder for me with the distance...Any tips or names of good babysitters?

Thanks a lot!

Full time childcare would be a childminder, not a babysitter.
.
Childminders tend not to be as flexible as creches, like for instance, they might not cover school holidays. Make sure you factor your working hours, holidays, and commute time into the equation when you ask about when they're open.
.
Many French speaking creches and childminders in Brussels are registered with the flemish Kind & Gezin organisation, as their registration requirements are less strict.
.
Not registered with Kind & Gezin or ONE = fees not allowable against tax.
