baby's nationality

Hi everyone,

I'm a Belgian citizen living in Dubai since almost 8 years, married to a Lebanese. We are expecting our first baby and I was wondering if she/he would automatically born with a Belgian passport, following my nationality or does the Belgian law require babies to be born over there so they can be granted the citizenship? I'm also thinking of contacting the embassy in Abu dhabi but I thought I'd check if anyone in this group has been in the same situation before?
