Apple confirms store will open in Belgium

12:22 20/05/2015

Apple will open an official Apple Store in Belgium, the company confirmed today.  The announcement verifies rumours of the technology giant’s plans to open an official store in the country.

Some suspect the store will take over a space in Brussels shopping mall Le Toison d'Or, home to the new Marks & Spencer, where some of the windows are currently covered with large black panels.  However, this has not been confirmed by Apple.

Apple’s announcement has been vague, confirming only that there will be an Apple store in Belgium at some point in the near future. "We look forward to bringing the unique Apple retail experience to our customers in Belgium," a spokesperson told De Standaard. The newspaper had no luck acquiring any details about the location, nor a date. In Belgium, Apple products are currently sold by a select few authorized distributors.

Apple yesterday posted 14 new jobs for Belgium on its website.
