Antwerp Central voted most romantic train station

Antwerp Central was selected as the most romantic train station in Europe by booking site Hotels.com. According to the site, Antwerp Central offers the perfect setting for a romantic hello or goodbye.

The site evaluated several European stations based on their architectural attractiveness, and Antwerp Central came out on top. Paris’ Gare Du Nord came in second place, while London's King's Cross Station closed out the top three. King’s Cross has a “magical atmosphere”, according to Hotels.com, thanks in part to its appearance in the Harry Potter films.

Amsterdam Central placed fourth in the list thanks to its Grand Café Restaurant on platform 2, previously a waiting room for passengers travelling first class. Hotels.com praises the station as "one of the city’s most beautiful historical monuments".

In fifth place is Berlin’s Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse, the last station before the border to the west of the city before the fall of the Berlin Wall, and a place where many people said their goodbyes.
