Hello,

We moved into our apartment 1 year ago this month. The apartment comes with an alarm. I have just received a bill for the maintenance of it, although no one has been out or made any contact to make an appointment?

My question is, is it down to the tenant to pay for the yearly maintenance or the owner?

Usually it is the tenant who pays, it's a service just like gas or electricity. Although presumably if the bill is in your name, then you must have signed up for it at some point?
If they haven't been round to maintain / service it, you should call them and ask what you're paying for.
