airport express parking, do you pay as you exit or before?
Hello,
I have to pick somebody up at the Zaventem Brussels airport this week and looking at the airport's website, I see there is an express parking for 2.5 euros per half hour.
For those who have used this express parking, do you pay as you exit the parking (parking attendant at the exit of the garage), or do you have to take your ticket with you into the garage, validate it there, and pay on a machine before you get in your car to exit the parking garage?
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
You can do both options: pay your ticket at the machine before you go to the car OR pay by credit card directly at the exit.
better option: you wait around the airport until you know that the person you are waiting for is ready to exit. Tell him/her to go at the departures hall and exit while you pick the person and go. So no parking ticket ;).
This is my question about this lkast year http://www.xpats.com/zavatem-airport-pick-point -- there are a lot of free spots right outside the hall -- with a limited time allowed -- Someone who has been there more recently could advise the time limit -- it is very short though -- -- I parked on a nearby street till I got the "call" and then went to the parking
Ask the aitport for a suitable parking permit and it will be free.

Short stay parking in front of the airport terminal
Car drivers bringing or collecting passengers with reduced mobility to and from the airport can park their car in front of the terminal. The disabled parking spaces are located on the departures level near entrance A to the departure hall. The car should however display an official disabled parking permit.
