Air traffic returns to normal after delays at Brussels Airport

10:42 07/03/2016

Several delays on Monday at Brussels Airport are now resolved, according to Belgocontrol spokesperson Dominique Dehaene, writes Het Laatste Nieuws. The delays were caused by winter weather conditions at the airport, including snow and ice and poor visibility due to the fog.

Several other European airports delayed flights with stops or destinations at Brussels Airport to avoid having too many aircraft in the air unable to land. A more favourable weather forecast on Monday meant that air traffic is slowly getting back to normal.

Passengers are nevertheless advised to check the airport website and to contact their airline for details on arrival and departure information.
