Accounts with debit cards
Question
I have an ING Belgian account, but the debit card is useless - I can't use it for anything online, or to link to my PayPal account, or anything like that. Has anyone found a Belgian bank with "normal" debit cards (with raised numbers and a security number on the back like credit cards) or does that just not exist here?

I'm not sure if such combination cards, which work both as a debit card (money taken directly from your account) and credit card exist here (they do in my home country, for example) - but why don't you simply get a credit card from ING? You would then have your current debit card (which can be used to pay in shops and withdraw money in all European countries), and a normal credit card for online purchases.
