Is the Abattement applicable if more people buy then they divede in logements?

Question

Hello,
we are a group of few friends which would like to buy an old big property to renovate in order to then divide it in smaller appartments. We will be buying all together with quotas then we will start the renovation and will request the division of the building via an architect presenting a project to the commune.
After this transition period each of us will be then 100% owner of his property. For me this will become my first residence. In this particular situation, will I be suitable for the abbatment? should I request a reimboursement (as I guess at the beginning we will be asked to pay the full amount).
Thanks for your help

If you are buying a property, you will have to use a notaris. Decide which one you will use and go and ask your questions.
You will not be charged for asking questions, only when they act for you in connection with the purchase and their charges are fixed by law. You can ask 1,000 questions and the final bill will be the same.

@ statti "as I guess at the beginning we will be asked to pay the full amount...."

Wrong - you don't have to guess anything. Go to a notaire and get proper legal advice.
