Yotam Ben-Or Quartet
Internationally acclaimed harmonica player and composer, Yotam Ben-Or, is “playing at a level that, in my opinion, matches Stevie Wonder himself״ (Bass Musician Magazine) and his "debut set shows the spirit of Toots Thielemans is alive and well" (Chris Spector, Midwest Record). The Israeli-Beligan award-winner, based in NYC formed his quartet in 2015 joined by some of the leading emerging artists of the NYC jazz scene. The quartet has performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Bric JazzFest, Carnegie Hall and toured throughout the Americas, Europe, and Israel. Ben-Or had the privilege to work with and be mentored by musicians such as Avishai Cohen (bass), Gregoire Maret, Jason Moran, Ben Street and more. In June 2018, the quartet released their debut album 'Sitting on a Cloud' featuring Ben-Or's original compositions laced with richly inspired and deeply honest sounds that will transport you to the rugged, yet sultry landscapes of your mind's eye.
