Too early yet for flu vaccination

This year, the vaccine against influenza will be available a little later than usual. The vaccine should arrive soon in pharmacies across Belgium, but it will probably be ten more days before it is available. The great diversity of viruses present in the southern hemisphere is responsible for the delay, because two new strains had to be introduced into the vaccine. The Scientific Societies of General Practice in Belgium stresses that this year two groups are particularly vulnerable to the flu, and should get vaccinated: pregnant women and health professionals.
