What authorities?
You turn up at your maison communale. you ask to open your dossier, you state which section of the law you wish to declare nationality under, you present your evidence.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes I was at my commune in antwerpen central and they referred me to call a district center in deurne to make enquiries. I did and they replied me by email to wait some weeks and the waiting time has long passed.

I would advise to contact the organisation Objectief (, they usually give professional advice depending on the commune you belong to and your personal circumstances.
I did it and it was very helpful.
Good luck

Why are you posting this here? You have provided NOTHING in the way of information about your situation. NOTHING! Where are you from/have you taken the integration classes/do you speak dutch or french/ have you been arrested for something/do you have a job/do you have a criminal record? Why did you wait so long to apply? You could have gone straight from the F-Card to applying for citizenship if you had taken the necessary steps.

If this is merely a matter of the commune (or rather, in this rather odd case because it is in Antwerpen, the district, being slow, you could approach one of the councillors, after, of course, you have reminded the district that you are still waiting.
