Mobile Phone Auto-Update Time & Date?

Question

Why don't Belgian mobile operators have their systems auto-update time and date on mobile phones?  Nearly every other country in the world has it, even the poorest.  Every time I return from outside GMT+1, I have to update my phone manually!  Is anybody else as irritated by this as I am?  Inquiring minds want to know!

They do.  My phone (nokia e5 on proximus) auto updates without any intervention from me.  You probably need to change a setting somewhere in your phone.
