Discussion with Beate and Serge Klarsfeld
This legendary couple are invited to the Jewish Museum of Belgium on Tuesday 18 February 2020: Beate and Serge Klarsfeld. Between the lawyer and French historian, founder of the Association of the Sons and Daughters of Jewish Deportees from France (Serge) and the author and German anti-Nazi activist (Beate), that ‘love at first sight’ is doubled by an extraordinary collaboration in a struggle for memory and justice. Those who have been called Nazi-hunters – including the capture of Klaus Barbie – have fought to ensure that those responsible for the Holocaust answer for their actions and that the world never forgets those who were the victims of barbarism in 1940-1945.
The discussion will be chaired by the journalist Keren Elkaïm.
