Discernment - making choices from a place of Freedom
Discernment: Making Choices from a Place of Freedom: Listen to the music of your life - Presenter: Joanna Walsh FCJ
The American poet Mary Oliver writes “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” (The Summer Day). This question points to a basic fact of life: we have to make many choices. What guides those choices? How do we know the “better” way forward? During this session we will explore together the spiritual practice of discernment. The day will include presentations, exercises for reflection, and group sharing. There will also be times of silence and solitude – which are essential to a discerning life. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” Antoine de St. Exupéry
