Brussels police nab pharmacy robber
The local police of Ixelles in Brussels arrested a man suspected of committing armed robberies in no less than 15 pharmacies over the course of three weeks across Brussels and its suburbs, according to the public prosecutor. The man was arrested in a hotel in Brussels after the police identified the getaway car used in the robberies. The man is believed to have committed the crimes between November 10 and December 1 in Laeken, Dilbeek, Ganshoren, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Anderlecht, Vilvoorde, Grimbergen and Zaventem. He reportedly threatened the managers of each pharmacy with a gun while demanding the contents of the register. The same weapon, presumably a flare gun, was found in his hotel room, along with money, drugs and jewellery.
