Belgian photographer praised for portrait

The Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren was awarded the National Portrait Prize in the Netherlands for his photo of Dutch architect and urban planner Rem Koolhaas. The black-and-white close-up of Koolhaas will be hung in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Vanfleteren always works in black and white. He is best known for his portraits in the newspaper De Morgen and for his cover photo of the book Congo by David Van Reybrouck. His work has been awarded several times.
