Working with chakras will help you understand your body: where ailments come from and why, and how to release physical, emotional or mental tension. Chakra workout can elevate your yoga practice to another level of consciousness, knowing what asana, breathing or other tools to apply instinctively whenever needed. The needs of our body and mind change from one period of life to another. In this workshop we will focus on the chakra workout. You will learn various exercises, yoga postures, breathing, sounds related of each chakra, mantras and yoga nidra (deep and complete physical, emotional and mental relaxation). The workshop will include some theory, but is mainly based on practice. We will start with an introduction of the main energy currents in the body and the 31 minor chakras. We will then focus on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd chakra, their physical connections and the exercises to balance these three energy centers. In the second part of the workshop we will continue opening up the higher chakras (4th, 5th 6th and 7th) and the aura. You will again learn the physical connections and the best asanas and sounds for each chakra. We will do a meditation and visualizations for the main chakras, a breathing aura exercise and chanting of some mantras. To get the most out of this workshop, we advise you to stay away from alcohol and coffee and stick to a vegetarian diet in the couple of days before this workshop.
