Back to the big screen: Family screenings at Cinematek in July

Competition closed

People are itching to get back to watching films on a big screen and the Cinematek is doing what it can to fill that need in a safe environment.

As part of their Young Film Fans screenings for the month of July, Cinematek is offering Bulletin readers a family ticket (for four people) to each of these films:

  • Mary Poppins (9 July, 16.00)
  • Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (16 July, 16.30)
  • Honey I Shrunk The Kids (30 July, 16.30)

Cinematek has suffered substantial losses due to the health crisis and has set up a donation campaign for fans who would like to help keep this unique institution afloat.

And if you'd like to treat your family and social bubble (up to 15 people) to a unique experience, Cinematek is offering the opportunity to privatise their smaller screening room, the Salle Plateau, for an exclusive and intimate viewing.

The programming team dove into the archives and put together a diverse group of 50 films to choose from, ranging from Chaplin’s The Kid (1921) to Wong Kar-Wai’s Chunking Express (1994).

For €150, a maximum of 15 people can choose one of the 50 selected films. The private screenings will be available daily at 20.00.

For screenings of silent films, an extra €100 will be requested for the live pianist. Reservations can be made by email with the desired dates and choice of film to info@cinematek.be

Sorry! This prize giveaway has now closed and the winners have been notified.
