Threads of History: The World of the Bayeux Tapestry
by Rupert Willoughby

Unfortunately at the last minute, Jane Angelini has had to cancel her lecture due to another set-back from her accident she had last year and it is with great pleasure that we have Rupert Willoughby who has kindly accepted to step in for what looks like a fascinating evening. Rupert is a prize-winning historian, a classicist, a lecturer on the national circuit, a poet, a father and a wild swimmer with a passion for castles, lakes and uncovering the layers of the past. So be prepared to learn about the well-known tapestry listed as UNESCO's World heritage 'Memory of the World', to revive your memory of the Battle of Hastings.
