For this second evening to celebrate the 15 years of our association, two groups from the Muziekpublique label will share the stage for a sensational concert-meeting of the world voices of Voxtra and the oriental sounds of Refugees for Refugees.

In full preparation for their next album, Refugees for Refugees comes back to the stage of the Théâtre Molière for the 15 years of Muziekpublique. The 10 musicians of the project, coming from Syria, Irak, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tibet and Belgium, create bridges and echo’s their cultures by uniting around a common repertoire. Since the release of their first album in 2016, the group went on concerts and festivals in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands … With a great experience of the stage, they begin to compose and arrange, following the musical route of the Silk Road, and may present some unpublished pieces during this in situ performance!

Voxtra is the 100% vocal project of the Muziekpublique label.  Always in this desire of creating bridges between cultures, the ensemble reunites Albanian, Sardinian choirs and Malagasy, Finnish and Belgian soloists. In a fusion that is not a fusion (each tradition remains distinct from the others), we discover the sobbing iso-polyphony of Albania, the rural cantu a tenore of Sardinia, the Beko style of southern Madagascar, the rune songs and Sami singing of Finland, and the sung story of Belgium. Voxtra brings together daring combinations, dances, humour, in a breath-taking performance.
